BETTER
PERFORMANCE

HARMONY AND BALANCE

It does not matter what discipline you ride. If you are asking your horse to perform work while carrying you and a saddle, your horse needs bodywork to perform to his highest potential, and to help him stay sound and healthy. Masterson Method® focuses on the key junctions of the horse and allows him to let the tension go, so that he has a chance to move better, find his balance better and give you more of what you are asking. Horses naturally carry more weight on the forehand and are dominant on one forelimb or the other (they will have a dominant diagonal). If you add the rider to this and these natural

RESTORE RANGE OF MOTION

Horses were not biomechanically designed to carry us, nor to be kept in fenced-in areas (as much as I love to find my horse in his pasture or paddock rather than gone, and then to ride him). The natural horse will live in a herd, walk at least 11 miles a day, eat very fibrous poor quality food for 17 hours of that day, and choose who among the herd s/he hangs out with. In domestication, many of these natural behaviors are modified (often extremely), and therefore stress accumulates whether or not you ride your horse... Because Masterson Method® works on the nervous system of the horse via the fascia, the horse will release tension with every session, sort of like peeling an onion. After regular sessions as well, they will learn to release more easily and more often, which will help them in dispelling tensions... even between sessions.
